The Lyles Ranch House was built in the 1920s and sits on a working cattle ranch in northern Archer County, about a mile south of Holliday, Texas. This spacious ranch house boasts four bedrooms (plus a study converted to a bedroom), two full baths, two half baths, a furnished kitchen, den, dining area, library, office, and game room. The entire house was remodeled and updated in the 1990s, but still retains so much of the early 1900s character that makes it so special to us. You can enjoy an evening on the front porch or by the fire pit watching jack rabbits, cottontails, road runners, lizards, hummingbirds, and the frequent passing of wild turkey (we're still talking about animals), not to mention numerous other bird species. If you're extremely laid back and quiet, there are ample opportunities to see feral hogs and their young, deer, bobcats, ducks, dove, quail and other beautiful wildlife. The sound of coyotes communicating through their yelps, howls and barks around sunset is sure to give you a bona-fide country-living experience during your stay at the ranch. Although we don't allow outside hunting on the property other than a few select dove hunts each season, we do offer a great opportunity to bird watch or nature walk on the ranch. The creek, stock tanks, and mesquite and other hardwood pasture provide a prime habitat for nature and wildlife to flourish. If you are interested in booking a hunt in the area, we have contact information for several hunting guides and outfitters. The ranch is a great place to stay for hunters, family gatherings or get-aways, ladies scrapbooking retreats, or any other reason to get out of the city. The Lyles Ranch House is an awesome opportunity to experience the country, but sits only a few minutes from civilization. The small rural town of Holliday is less than 5 minutes away and you can be in Wichita Falls in less than 15 minutes. Archer City, the county seat, is only a 20 minute drive to the south and provides lots of historical opportunities. Ranch-life disclosures: If you're looking for "Ritz-Carlton-style" accommodations, or you're worried about getting dust on your yuppie-mobile, you might should stay in the big city somewhere. Some weekends are busy for our community and although we try to keep our online calendar updated with correct rates, availability, pictures, etc., we'd rather be feeding cows and chasing pigs! My mom was a great host-you always felt welcomed at her home. There are two bedrooms (king and full size beds) with a queen size sleeper couch in the Living Room and two full bathrooms. Living Room and Dining Room and Sunroom are very open for a family get together. My mom loved her yard as much as she loved her house. So enjoy watching the Hummingbirds, Finches while sitting in the Sunroom. I have also seen Mississippi Kites in the neighborhood. Kitchen is fully furnished with washer and dryer in the kitchen area. There is a nice size dog pen in the back yard, along with a large back yard for children to enjoy. My house is just a few blocks from the Archer City Golf Course and a mile from downtown. Archer has a public swimming pool and putt putt golf.

Sweet little waterfront cabin. If your looking for a restful little hideaway this is it. All the luxury of home without the stress. Great fishing plus amazing sunsets right from the large deck. Bring your boat, canoe or your paddle boards. We do have a couple of kayaks for your use. This is a very quiet lake. Great for smaller water sports. All you need to bring is your food. swim wear and personal items. We’ve got everything else. We have a charcoal grill for your use. (please bring your charcoal we do not provide) For groceries there’s a Walmart about 7 miles away. And for some nighttime ( or daytime) fun. There are 2 new casinos about 30- 40 minutes up Hwy 81

The Sports Field House is a coaches quarters with a full bathroom with bathtub, kitchen, microwave, coffee machine, full fridge with water and ice, a coaches meeting room and a bedroom with a double queen bunkbed. Storage for sports equipment is also provided as well as wi-fi, cell booster and porch with seating and bluetooth. The lighted basketball court, sand volleyball court and soccer and baseball practice field with goal and backstop and picnic area is adjacent to the field house. A new observatory with telescope was added in April 2021. Guest access Full exclusive use of the field house is provided. Other things to note The fishing is awesome and the wildlife is plentiful. The sports fields are well maintained and irrigated. Hunting is not permitted on the ranch property and the gun range is closed except to guests booking the entire ranch property and all facilities including RV and tenting.

Located near Possum Kingdom Lake on 188 acres with a deep 4 acre lake stocked with Bass, Perch, and Catfish, the Lodge will accommodate 35 overnight guests. A sports field complex with coaches quarters features a 1/2 court basketball, sand volleyball. a grass sports field for baseball, soccer and track practice and an observatory complete with telescope A four-mile mountain bike-and-hike trail system (dirt and rock) winds through the wooded meadow and around the lake forest. With a three bedroom guest home, a number of cabins, group campgrounds, tent and RV sites (some with RV's included) across the lake from the Lodge we offer a number of housing experiences for family reunions, church and youth camps, adventure and survival training. and corporate retreats. We also offer rental of a pontoon boat with trolling motor, two UTV's and a golf cart to help explore our 188 acre ranch retreat on the six mile of all-weather trails. Mission: Welcome to Marluc Bella Vita Ranch. the Ranch serves our guests by providing a resort environment and a place of tranquility. 1. Trail walking and exploring is highly encouraged. There are 1/2 mile and one mile loop trails around the lake, 6 miles of all-weather rock trails through the forest and on the meadow, and another four miles of dirt and rock mountain bike-and-hike trails through the lake forest and the wooded meadow. 2. Boating, swimming, and fishing are encouraged. A canoe and three kayaks are available at no charge. An 8-person pontoon boat with trolling motor, bimini, raft with tow rope, and life jackets is available for rent for unlimited use during your stay. we also offer a golf cart and two UTV's for rental to enhance the experience traveling through the wooded meadow and the forested lake shore of our 188 acre ranch. 3. A large minnow tank and a large live well are provided. 4. There are two group campgrounds, five secluded tent sites and two RV sites (includes RV) on the ranch with fire-pits, picnic tables, water and power. 5. There are also three RV pads with utilities available on a rental basis . 6. The Upper deck on the second floor of the lodge is great for astronomy lovers. 7. There is seating at the large Firepit adjacent to the lodge for about 30. 8. The Lake porch deck has two restaurant booths, two couches and a 60 foot long counter at the lake side. A full size fridge with freezer is located on the porch. 9. The classroom has seating for about 30 and is equipped with a large screen TV, Apple TV and HDMI cable. 10. There are two large refrigerators with ice makers and water and freezer in the den. 11. There is a three compartment hot food server in the kitchen as well as a Kuerig, coffee urn and a large selection of kitchen food prep devices. 12. There is a large television in the den with Apple TV and Direct TV service. There are also televisions in each room (no broadcast tv). 13. The den has two couches, and two kitchen tables that will seat 16. 14. Bedding and bath towels are provided but swim towels are to be provided by guests. 15. There are two showers and a restroom on the trail adjacent to the lodge and above the water slide. They are closed during winter season. 16. A hard copper line phone is in the den. The closest hospital is in Jacksboro, a 20 minute drive. There is a first aid kit beside the washer/dryers in the den. 17. Please bring trash bags and remove all garbage upon departure and place in the dumpster at the entrance gate. Do not leave any perishable food behind. 18. The lodge has a solar panel (with batteries) system that will automatically operate the fridges, internet, water pump, lighting and some electrical plugs in the event of a power outage. 19. There is a hydroponics garden adjacent to the lodge that grows fish and vegetables from October through May. 20. The water slide adjacent to the lodge has a removable stairway as a safety feature. 21. There is a gated sand playground adjacent to the lodge. 22. A small ice maker is located on the porch of the lodge. 23. The lodge features two 120 gallon hot water heaters. 24. Two washers and two dryers are in the kitchen area of the lodge. 25. Please bring Paper towels and paper plates and utensils or use those provided and wash them prior to departure.. 26. The lodge undergoes a thorough cleaning and disinfection after each use using a non-toxic virus mist. 27. A small supply of over the counter medicines and a first aid kit is provided in the kitchen area. 28. A waterfall runs over rocks from the upper pond to the lake. The lake also has subsurface aeration. No motorized watercraft are permitted on the lake. 29. Numerous water retainage and stock ponds (for wildlife) are located over the 188 acre ranch property. 30. For larger vehicles there is a second commercial gated entrance to the property. 31. There is a large wooden cross at the Top of the Dam Campground and at the Refuge Campground. 32. Use of the Gun Range is available to experienced guests booking the entire ranch and it’s lodge, guest home, cabins, camping, sports field and RV sites. This helps to prevent harm to walkers on our ten miles (total) of hike and bike trails. Targets are at 15, 50, 100, 200 and 300 yards. 33. Use of the dock is included and the lake depth at the dock is 12-14 feet deep. The pontoon boat (trolling motor) is also available on a rental basis. 34. There is a commercial bee hive on the property. 35. There are three deer stand type wildlife viewing stations. 36. The Wilderness Roost is located at the far north end of the ranch property. It is available on a rental basis and has 4 beds plus an RV pad with full utilities. 37. There are bird, duck and bat boxes strategically located around the property. 38. The parking lot holds 20 vehicles and there is direct access to the upper and lower floors of the lodge from the parking lot. There is also a lower drop off driveway to the lodge. 39. A Crappie pond with fishing post was built below the dam in the summer of 2020 and was stocked with feeder minnows and Crappie. 40. A grass sports field with soccer goal and backstop and field house with coaches quarters along with a lighted half-court basketball court, sand volleyball court, archery targets, observatory and picnic area is available on a first come, first serve basis. This is a secluded deer stand of the highest quality possible with wi-fi, TV, fire pit, pistol range, deer feeders, picnic table, covered porch with BBQ and smoker, bathroom with lower shower, full size fridge, AC, Heat, hot plate, camp stove, microwave, and solar lighting. The space Located 1/2 mile away from the Main Lodge in the grassy meadows of the ranch retreat, the “roost” is one of the most comfortable deer and wildlife viewing apartments anywhere. The firepit overlooking the pistol range (BB guns only please) and deer feeders is a great place to enjoy evening sunsets in any weather and the elevated porch comes complete with a bbq and smoker. Wi-fi, bluetooth speaker, microwave, hot plate, tv, solar lighting, full fridge, bathroom, shower and nightime lighting will help to make your stay most enjoyable. Hunting is not permitted on the ranch property. Guest access The entire roost is rented without sharing by unknown guests. The 188 acre ranch, trails, lake and other campsites are shared.

Enjoy exclusive use of the entire 3,200 square ft lodge with air-conditioned and heated (six) bedrooms with televisions, and four restrooms, a screened-in air-conditioned classroom that will seat 40 equipped with a 70 inch television, a den with two tables for seating 16 and three televisions, washer and dryer, a 12' x 60' porch overlooking a 4 acre-lake (stocked with wide mouth bass, catfish and bluegill) equipped with two restaurant booths to seat 12, three full size fridges, a 14 foot water slide, a fire-pit to seat 40 overlooking the lake, a kids sand playground (fenced), three kayaks, a canoe, a boat dock, miles of all-weather trails, two treed campgrounds, two RV parking spots with 30 and 50 amp power connections, and sewer and water connections. Pontoon Boat and ATV rental also available on request. A six station gun range is also available upon request with 17, 50, 100, 200, and 300 yard targets. Micro-Brewery on site. A Greenhouse with two fully functional aquaponic tanks is attached to the lodge. All cookware, utensils, towels and bedding provided.The lodge is equipped with solar panels and a backup solar batter in case of power outages. There are three enclosed deer feeders as well as three elevated deer stands (with chairs) on the property. We are currently housing 200 quail for release on the property in March 2019 at a new pen on the property. There is a cell phone booster on the property for all cell services and wifi calling works best. All trails (about two miles) on the property are all-weather gravel roads. There is a campground (80' x 150' no services) on top of the dam and in oak trees on the west side of the property.

Located on the highest part of the 188 acre ranch retreat this campsite (we call it Panorama) is about as secluded as you can get. The four-mile hike and bike trail (non-motorized) runs beside the campsite and the lake (with good fishing) and the sports complex is just a short walk away. A picnic table, power (20 and 30 amp). charcoal grill and firepit are provided on this large campsite that will accommodate any size of RV or motor home.

Located on the wooded upper trail of the 188 acre ranch property and above the lake and crappie pond, these five (5) large drive-through secluded RV/Tent sites are identically equipped tent-sites (11, 12, 14, 15 and 16) and have 20/30 amp power, water, fire pit, charcoal grill and picnic table. You can choose to park on your private gravel driveway or in the grassy level field under the oak trees.The comfort station with two showers and two toilets is a short walk away down the trial and with ten miles of hiking and biking trails and five wildlife feeder/viewing stations there is lots to do beside fishing in the lake which is excellent. Bring your own small watercraft and enjoy water sports or visit the sports complex and enjoy sand volley ball, basketball, soccer or baseball.

The Top-of-the-Dam” campground is a Group Campground for use by families and friends or camping groups and can fit up to 10 tents/small RV’s. There are two utility stations each with power and water, a 12' x 12' open shelter, two fire pits, two picnic tables, and a porta-potty. There is an area comfort station with toilets/showers within walking distance. The sunrise and sunset views at the Top of the Dam campground are spectacular. Fishing is great. Price is $80.00 for the first Tent or RV and $10.00 per night for each additional guest in other RV's/Tents.

We call this campsite “Serenity”. It houses a very modern 16 foot travel trailer installed permanently and it is connected to water, sewer and power. It has a full size bed and a small couch and has a kitchen, cookware and restroom with shower and an awning. Bluetooth sound system is included as is firewood for the large fire pit. Outside there is a tent pad and picnic table and a 12' x 12' open shelter with a charcoal grill all surrounded by woods with a bubbling brook running through it. The dock on the lake is just a short walk away to great fishing and water sports.
